As the fall weather approaches hawks falcons eagles and ospreys in the north will begin making their annual journey southward seeking warmer weather and better hunting grounds.
We meet at Kings Landing Park at 7:30am and then travel to Washington Monument State Park in the county van and see how many raptors we can spot flying along the ridge.
We are planning to be back to Kings Landing Park around 3:00pm.
Please bring a fold up chair and spotting scope if you have one. Gene will bring our spotting scope and our program binoculars. We will also have some guides to help identify the different raptors.
Dress for the weather, this location is somewhat exposed and could be windy.
This appreciation event is open to all volunteers that have completed hours during 2024.
