Description

Any of our volunteers are invited to join us for a trip to the Piney Point Aquaculture Center to learn about the process of producing oyster spat.  This is the site where our spat used for the 5th grade field trip come from!   We will meet at Flag Ponds Nature Park at 7:30am and travel to the center in Piney Point in a county van. After touring the aquaculture facility we will then head to the Piney Point Lighthouse museum.  Please bring a packed lunch to enjoy on the museum grounds.  Please wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather as there is no AC at the aquaculture center.

Since we have limited staff available for this trip seats in the van will be first come, first served.  Those who still wish to attend may drive themselves as well if there are not anymore seats available in the van. Due to the small size of the facility we can take 12 people total.
