Come out and help park staff spread mulch in the BayWise pollinator gardens at Wisner Hall here in the park! Spreading mulch is hard work and requires a lot of bending, lifting, and shifting of heavy weight. Please come prepared.
Work to Be Done
- Install landscaping fabric in 4 places - around holly trees, and under 3 stepping stone access paths
- Spread 6 cubic yards of hardwood mulch into place, focusing on the "curb appeal" edges of the garden.
- Excess mulch to be moved to other gardens by park staff.
What to Bring
- Work gloves
- Water
- Sun protection (long sleeves, sunblock, hat, etc.)
- Bug spray
- Closed-toe work appropriate shoes
- Shovel or small spade (optional)
- Gardening tools (optional)
