Join other Calvert Steward volunteers for this nighttime adventure into the swamp at Flag Ponds. We will wade into the swamp and with luck find spring peepers calling and spy on other swamp animals, like salamanders, in the water.
Guest policy - due to limited group size, any guests must also be volunteers and respond with their account. Contact us if you have questions.
Please email Tania Gale at Tania.gale@calvertcountymd.gov with your boot size. Chest waders will be provided for wading thigh-deep into the swamp. You may bring your own if you prefer.
Dress warm - wear thick wool or fleece socks. Bring a flashlight or headlamp and a change of clothes for the way home - just in case.
