Together with the Calvert County Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services department, we are hosting a "Special Needs Night" at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp on Friday, October 8th from 5-7pm. Special Needs Night gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to exclusively enjoy the park and nature center.
Volunteers for this opportunity may be assigned throughout the park or nature center to act as interpreters or tour guides. Volunteers may also be asked to run a craft or activity, or to engage visitors using live animals. Please let us know if any of these specific activities interest you!
