We will be installing an osprey platform in the Drum Point area and need 4-5 people to help with the install. Volunteers will be walking out into the water (waders provided) helping to carry materials, position the platform and pull it into the bottom. We will also need to collect some sticks from around the area to "prime" the nest for the ospreys. We will meet at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp at 9:20 am and then travel in the county van to the location. Its tough to say how long this will take but I imagine we will be done by 1:00 pm likely sooner. Please dress for the weather and be sure to wear an extra warm layer on your legs and thick socks. The water temp will be cold and our waders are not insulated. If you can attend please sign up on this website and email Gene at gene.groshon@calvertcountymd.gov and let me know your shoe size. This way I can be sure to have enough correctly sized waders for everyone.
