This year's Halloween event at Hallowing Point Park hosted by Calvert County Parks and Recreation will include a s'mores station for trick-or-treaters to enjoy. The Natural Resources Division is overseeing the s'mores station and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to help keep participants safe around the fire pits and moving efficiently through the station.
Volunteers are encouraged to dress up in outdoor-themed costumes, such as forest animals or park rangers. If you need to borrow a costume please let us know and we will see what we can do.
The event itself runs from 6-9 p.m. The volunteer opportunity includes arriving early to set up and staying afterward to assist staff with cleanup. When you arrive, please park in the volunteer parking lot, which is the first gravel lot on your right when entering the park through the Jibsail Drive entrance.
