This is a required training to participate in the 2025 Maple Sap Collection and Trail Monitor program. During this training you will learn how collect and store the maple sap from our tapped maple trees along the Sugar Bush Trail. You will also learn how to safely monitor and maintain the trail and what types of issues to look out for.
The collected sap will be boiled into maple syrup later in the season.
Training is only open to adults or youth ages 16+ (children may accompany you on your collection days).
Training is Sunday, February 2 from 10 am to noon.
Sap collection and trail monitoring will involve outdoor physical labor including carrying heavy buckets, walking and working on uneven and steep terrain and in possibly icy, wet or muddy conditions.
