Who We Are
Interested volunteers should respond to the Wildlife Rescue Transportation Team Opportunity to be placed on the call list.
What We Do
Help rescue and transport injured hawks, owls and other raptors to Owl Moon Raptor Center when available. Other birds, large and small, may need transport to other wildlife rehabilitation facilities as available.
Transportation usually requires the ability to drive to the Capital Beltway, Baltimore, or points in between, to deliver the injured bird(s) to a waiting volunteer from Owl Moon, or transport to another wildlife rehabilitator as advised. Volunteers may be called upon to help capture or pick up the wounded bird on location.
Volunteers will essentially be "on call" morning until evening.
