Volunteers assist park staff in maintaining trails at the Hughes Tree Farm in Prince Frederick.
Duties include:
- Remove debris and obstacles from trails
- Divert trails around vernal pools

Time Commitment: 2 hours
NOTE: There are no restroom or water facilities available at the park.
Materials and Equipment: Hand tools will be provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves, water bottles and any necessary lunch or trail snacks.
Special Skills: Most work will be performed outside under varying weather conditions. Frequent exposure to weather and temperature extremes, noise, dust, and dirt should be expected. Work performed requires the exertion of moderate to heavy physical effort and may involve lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Work also includes: exposure to poison ivy, ticks, mosquitos, snakes, spiders and other wildlife.
