We are looking for Calvert Steward volunteers to be ambassadors for our nature parks! Join us, Sunday October 1, 2023 from 11am to 3pm for the SOMD Invasives Festival at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum and enjoy a fun-filled day of DIY and hands-on activities all about removing and repurposing invasive species around Maryland!
This is a great chance to show your knowledge and passion for our natural resources here in Calvert County by helping to engage new volunteers and the public at large. Spread the word about our programs, play an invasive fishing game with kids, educate about our native animals and talk about why you enjoy being a steward of Calvert County.
We need 2 volunteers for the table to work with our naturalists for the day. Teens are welcome to assist.
