April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and to show our appreciation to our dedicated team of animal care volunteers, we will be taking a trip to the National Zoo in Washington DC on Sunday, April 24th.
We will meet at the nature center around 10:30am, and ride together in a county vehicle to the zoo. Before we begin exploring we will eat lunch, which will be provided for you. Then you will have about 2.5 hours to explore the zoo. You can stay together with the group or go off to explore on your own. We will depart the zoo at 3:00, getting us back to the nature center a little after 4pm.
This trip is only for animal care volunteers and requires the "animal care training" qualification in order to sign up. Animal Care volunteers under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a chaperone for this trip.
