Join Flag Ponds Nature Park staff and help with the end-of-season deep clean-up of trash and debris found along the beach and ponds. Voluteers ages 16 and up will gather as a team and form a line to collect trash that has collected in the all the hard to reach areas of the beach. Volunteers can expect to walk up to 2 miles, including some uneven, wet and difficult to traverse terrain.
All volunteers should dress for the weather, wear long sleeves and pants to protect against scrathy brush and insects and wear shoes that can get wet. Bring a water bottle and consider sun protection and insect repellent. Work gloves and clean up supplies will be provided.
