After the busy holiday weekend come join the staff at Flag Ponds Nature Park and help clean-up trash and debris found on the beach and in other areas of the park! Volunteers will check in with a ranger to get further instructions and supplies, and then can head out at their leisure to pick up trash at the beach, along trails, or other areas as needed.
Schedule: Saturday, September 10th, must check in with staff between 9:30 and noon to receive supplies
Time Commitment: 1-3.5 hours depending on availability of volunteers.
Dress accordingly for the weather.All volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and bring a water bottle.
Volunteers must bring their own gloves
We will provide trash bags and grabbers.
Skills: Will require bending, kneeling, and potentially moving heavy objects (up to 20 pounds).
