Join the staff at Flag Ponds Nature Park and help with various landscaping projects around the park, including removing invasive stilt grass, planting native plants, installing protective cages, and more! Volunteers will meet in Parking Lot 3 at 10:30 am
Duties will include:
- Planting
- Weeding
- Mulching
- Watering
Schedule: Friday, September 17 at 10:30 am
Time Commitment: 2 hours
Equipment:
- Gloves will need to be supplied by the volunteers.
- All volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and bring a water bottle.
- Hand tools will be provided by park staff.
Skills: Will require bending, kneeling, and potentially moving heavy objects (up to 20 pounds).
Work also includes: Possible exposure to poison ivy, ants, bees, flies, mosquitoes, and ticks.
