We are looking for gardeners and other volunteers needing community service opportunities. Kings Landing Park has several garden beds that need tending, including a large BayWise certified native plant garden at Tom Wisner Hall, and with the return of spring weather it is time to get started!
This orientation will be a planning meeting for the 2024 season, as well as a training session for any new volunteers. Returning volunteers & experienced gardeners are encouraged to bring ideas and expertise! It is unlikely we will get into doing any actual work in the gardens at this meeting, but we will be walking around outside to look at them.
We will meet in front of Tom Wisner Hall at the park.
If you're interested in volunteering at the gardens this year but can't make this orientation session, just let Jenny Yoder and we can work out a separate date for you.
