Help us make the Nature Play Space at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp a fun, safe place for children and their parents to enjoy nature.
This opportunity takes place at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp. Meet by the picnic pavilion. This opportunity will have two shifts: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Choose either time frame to come help.
Duties might include: raking leaves, pulling weeds, laying down mulch, digging holes, and moving tree stumps, logs, and tires. Volunteers should be physically capable of bending, crouching, and lifting.
Landscaping tools will be provided, bring your own work gloves if you have them.
Bring water to drink and wear work shoes as well as clothes that can get dirty. Please note that there is currently no running water at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp. There is a single port-a-potty toilet on site.
